General Electric Team Lead Operations / Shift Engineer Jobs 2017

Role Summary

To manage operation of the plant in a safe, efficient and smooth manner taking care of load demand, dispatch operating procedures, OEM recommendations and local procedures / instructions. To ensure full EHS compliance during the shift. Strictly adheres to all safety rules; lockout/tag out, work permit guidelines, confined space entry and similar policies.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsible for safe and efficient operation of plant within the technical limits as outlined in PPA, GSA and in operating procedures following the best practices of the power industry. To ensure proper logging and recording of all events and parameters. Preparing shift and other reports as assigned by Operations Manager. To ensure full EHS compliance during his shift. Strictly adheres to all safety rules; lockout/tag out, work permit guidelines, confined space entry and similar policies put in place to protect the employee’s health and safety.

Coordinate resources to achieve goals with a timely and cost-effective strategy. Lead and assist in daily operations. Develop, coordinate, lead, and execute daily production plans and coordinate consistent and effective shift-to-shift transition. Develop and implement process controls. Support operations leader in the strategic planning of manpower, equipment, and other resources. Contributes to the development of an operational year plan for own department activities of the team.

Qualifications/Requirements

B.E. / B.Sc. Engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics) from an accredited university and at least 5 years of experience of working with power plants preferably CCPP as Shift Engineer.

A good knowledge of the principles associated with CCGT power plant operation. Good level of awareness of plant and equipments of CCGT power plant. Understanding of commercial issues of IPPs. A high standard of safety awareness and understanding of safety practices preferably candidate should be fully authorized to apply the safety rules.
